“Scientifically-proven ways to be persuasive”

Wouldn’t it be great if we could find ways to encourage our customers to do what we want, in a way that makes them feel good? One blogger has written a precis of a pop psychology book entitled “Yes! 50 Scientifically proven ways to be persuasive”.  He’s done the hard work so that we don’t have to; there are some great ideas here for small ways to change the phrasing of requests in order to make them more compelling. Some of them are based on tests in hotels and restaurants, but others may require a little more creativity to find ways to apply them, but they all sound like they could be made useful by innovative people.
